One of the rarest and most elusive of all the Dr. Daniels’ give-away items to find. This deck is complete with 52 original playing cards. The back of each card has the images of Dr. Daniels’, the snickering horse, and his logo bulldog. The print reads, “DR. A. C. DANIELS’ HORSE & DOG MEDICINES. The cards have been well loved over the years, but no card has significant damage. The box has different images on the front and back. One side has the same image as a very scarce Canine Remedies booklet with the bulldog logo and Dr. Daniels’ between the bulldog’s legs. The other side shows a mother and two children walking up a road accompanied by a dog pulling a wagon full of flowers. Dr. Daniels’ within a horseshoe is at the top of this side also. Box has significant wear, missing the top flaps and having archival tape repairs on the inside of the box. There is also edge wear, scuffing, and general toning, but hey, how can you complain too much. The consigner purchased this deck of cards, THE ONLY DECK OF DANIELS CARDS that I have auctioned in 2009. Find another example in better condition and then come see me. If you are looking for a top quality collectibles with the “WOW” factor, this is one of those things.
