Very large and graphic lithographed poster produced, c1900, by the Dr. B. J. Kendall Company of Enosburg Falls, Vermont. The color and detail of this this poster is fantastic. The Victorian lady is feeding her horse a lump of sugar while her daughter, holding a Kendall’s “Treatise on the Horse” booklet, looks on. The two foxhounds are ready for the days hunt and the Lady’s hunting companions are riding up. The Kendall Spavin Cure Factory can be seen on the hillside in the background. This historic structure still stands in the town today. A variety of Kendall’s veterinary remedies are illustrated on the steps of the house. The condition of this poster is excellent. The colors are as bright and crisp as any example I have ever seen. There is one small scrape across the horse’s breast and some slight fading to the red print in the caption area below the image. Nothing to detract from this wonderful cure poster. The image size is very large, at 29”x 21” and it is currently triple matted and framed with a wooden frame. Shipping will be the exact charge for packing and shipping from the Fed-Ex store or can be removed from the frame and shipped in a tube.
