Vintage albumin photograph c1914 of Dr. J. A. Haas and his veterinary hospital’s emergency ambulance. Dr. Haas, in a bowler hat can be seen standing next to a horse that has been loaded into the ambulance. His team of horses is being held by his teamster driver. The photograph was taken by J. W. Roshon of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I found two mentions on the internet about Dr. Haas dated 1914 and 1918 and both place him in Harrisburg. The photo is mounted on the original, embossed cardboard backing and is currently framed in a period looking frame. The overall size is 15”x 12” with the image size 9 ½”x 7 ½”. Image is very crisp. An outstanding image of a painted animal ambulance. Great veterinary history.
